If your credit history is not perfect, you can still submit an application for assessment. A low credit score or previous payment problems do not automatically decide the outcome. We look at affordability, income, supporting documents, credit information and other relevant details before making a decision.
Completed debt review? You can submit an application for assessment. We may ask for a clearance certificate before we continue.
Send through your application and we’ll assess it using the information you provide. We’ll then let you know the outcome and, where approved, the loan amount and repayment option available to you.
What you may need to apply
- South African ID or other accepted identification
- Recent payslip or other proof of income
- Recent bank statements
- Proof of residential address
- Any additional documents reasonably needed for assessment or verification
If you have settled previous accounts or completed debt review, we may ask for settlement letters or a clearance certificate where relevant.

Implications of Non Payments
Minimum repayment period: 6 months. Maximum repayment period: 180 months. Interest rate: 5.19% per annum. The maximum APR is 32%. Your quotation will show the applicable APR, monthly repayment, repayment period and total amount repayable before you accept.
If the client can’t be found or the problem can’t be solved, it would be handed over to the internal collections department to see if a solution to the problem can be found. If an agreement can’t be reached, the lender can make use of an external collections company or an attorney.
This will lead to an increase in repayment information and interest. This will have a big influence on the clients credit score and it will be very difficult to get any more credit from any loan provider.
Monthly premiums for loan repayments will be done by direct debit order collection from the clients bank account.

Renewal Policy
If you are up to date with your repayments, you may apply again when you need another loan. A new application will be assessed using your current profile, affordability and the information provided at the time.
